My Character So my character in connections this year was a fun little challenge. Last year I had the joy of playing a police officer and being firm when questioning the kids while also in another cast being younger Kobi who I said was someone who at the time craved the attention from his friends that he was getting, so he was really energetic and lively around them all the time. It was nice to have a change this year, in this years connections I played Tristans message or Tristans bitmoji. From the start Kelly loved the idea of the Bitmoji's being like real versions of the base characters of Tristan and Dana, so like the everyday Tristan that they see at school thats always sporty and wearing rugby gear, his bitmoji would wear something more comfortable that he can lay around in since in the show he has a monologue where he opens up to Dana about him not wanting to go to training all the time. When it came to the cast list and I saw that Aiden was Tristan, we had a chat about how

Monday 5th February After coming back from zest, we did some warm-ups that resonated around being an ensemble, since the script for Shout, the ideas Kelly has for it is a big ensemble piece to add that extra pressure onto the main character Dana. It was now the plan to put us 2nd years that were in shout into the opening scene. I went over and asked Kelly should I be in this scene since I am Tristan's message. She wanted me in the scene and she wanted me following behind Tristan as he enters typing on his phone. I read over his shoulder what he's typing then walk over to Maya, who is played by Scarlett, (who in the script is dating Tristan) and I have to improvise what I think Tristan would have said in that message. My initial ideas for what he would have been saying would fall around the lines of rugby training; his parents

We let Callum know before-hand who we were auditioning with for the audition pieces since they came out on the weekend. So while I had free time I was at home breaking down both the scenes 'Fra' was in for the audition pieces to understand the character and how he feels. I deduced that Fra was more out of the friend group then he wants to be because he has a lot of personal issues going on, regarding to his Nan being very sick so he has to look after both his little brother and his Nan. He also is terrified of being split up from them all because of social services, so when Peter goes missing and Fra has that interaction with Eugene I saw it more as a cry for help with Fra since its out of character for him to break down like that. I didn't see it as a burst of anger, I saw it as more everything was getting on top of him and he finally had too much and so he broke down and didn't know how to control all the emotions he was feeling and so he lashes out and attacks Eugen
