Ned Moffat So I played Ned Moffat in cast one and the most I struggled with in rehearsals was trying to make the character boring. I had been told by Tom, during rehearsals that I should slow down what I say when it comes to Ned and add small pauses to emphasise more on him being boring and uninteresting. During the dress rehearsal on the day of the show it dragged on a lot we ended up going over three hours due to stops and starts as people were forgetting cues and lines. I also missed my end cue which luckily in the show I didn't. The dance was also all over the place as during the dress run there was three pairs of dancers other than Meg and Mr. Brookes and when switching we because of the position we were in, we had to move past other people to get to the next dancer. Candidate Declaration - I confirm that the attached portfolio is all my own work and does not include any work completed by anyone other than myself My Show Journey For radium girls I had already done my audition that matched the theme of One Flew Over since we didn't know radium girls was the other show we were doing yet. When we did a read through of the script, there were a few characters that stood out to me that seemed like a fun challenge. That role being Tom, since I hadn't had the opportunity to do romance yet I wanted to try my hand at it so I could try that genre.  I got the role of Von Sochocky, who was a german scientist that invented the radium and in the end conducts air tests on the girls due to guilt to see if it was his paint that was killing them. Section 1: Rationale (approx. 100 words) Since coming to the college, I had no acting prior and no experience I wasn’t really researched on much as well. So, throughout my two years on this course I have learnt about practitioners and their certain methods that we have utilized into our warm-ups and performances. I have grown more confident with myself and improved my skills throughout the years for example improvisation being a big improvement.
