Redherring Film

This by far I think was the most challenging film for me this year as I had gotten the role of the schitzophrenic detective. My main problem was how I was going to portray the descent into madness which in the end in my opinion you don't really see the change as much it just explodes towards the end but still makes for an amazing finale. The film follows a group of people who wake up in a room with a dead body and a detective (who is fake) there is a conspiracy board on one of the walls and the door is padlocked from the inside which the detective finds and figures out that the person who locked the door and probably killed the man has to be in the room with them. The detective also has voices in his head which end up being the hat, glasses, tie and the gun which was first of all cigerettes but they couldn't get any for the film. For my costume I had my suit trousers and shirt, with some nice brown shoes and an brown overcoat and hat courtesy of Robert (the director).

Wednesday 10th May

Today we started the filming for Redherring, we started off with the scenes of me waking up and reacting to being next to the body, then reacting to my head hurting and analyzing the room. I then get startled from another voice whose hands had been tied up and was on the floor. this was Isabella (played by Sophia) I go over and help her as she calls me a detective due to what I was wearing which I have a weird reaction to as I can't remember anything. I agree with her in the end as she seems to find me weird so to play it off I just shrug it off and move to the next thing the conspiracy board. They then moved onto introducing Elliott's character Pete who is sort of the knucklehead of the group and he instantly attacks the detective calling him a 'pig' to which I trip him over and interrogate him but then realise his hands also tied when Isabella points it out, but they weren't tied with handcuffs.

Monday 15th May

Due to having another film in the afternoon they tried to get as many scenes with the other characters done so that they could focus on my main long scenes when they had more time. So they started off with the introduction of the final character Tim the banker (played by William). They introduced him with Pete who instantly attacked him and then they added me inteorrgating them both about someone they had mentioned called Ronnie who they thought brought them both here. We then moved onto when I investigate the body since it was going to be the last chance due to not being to have makeup do any more work for it. So we had me investigate the fish tattoo that I also had and the gunshot wound to see what gun could of caused that bullet, this is when the glasses talk to me and I put them on. After that I had to go film for the other film so they moved onto scenes where I wasn't in them like when they go investigate the lock on the door and then Pete breaks it off.

Friday 19th May

For today we had to start off with doing scenes where there is no dialogue due to musical theatre filming next door. So we did scenes of me reacting to the tie talking and hat talking, we did scenes of me investigating the conspiracy board. When we could finally do scenes with dialogue we moved onto me finding the gun and then picking it up. The last scene of the day was the best scene in my opinion, my death scene. This is where everything hits the roof and I start piecing together a lot if it. Then when I finally do I lose control of the voices and scream at Isabella and point the gun at them all, thats when the voices get gradually louder telling me im wrong and I she ins't the rght person shes innocent. So I slowly start breathing heavily with the gun still pointed at the other three then with one fast movement I push the gun under my chin and pull the trigger.

Monday 22nd May

This was the last day of filming 'Redherring' and I had been having so much fun and it has been such an honour to film with the likes of Elliott, Will and Sophia since they are phenomonal. We tidied up the rest of the scenes since a lot of them were focusing on me thinking everything out like the lock, then questioning Pete about the Esparados and Ronnie. Then talking to the hat and the tie piecing together all the information. Then we moved onto the last shot if me ripping up pieces of paper off the board and then marching over to where the gun should be.
