Christmas Community Concert

Monday 26th September 2022 This was the start of our Christmas carol singing where we taught by Tom, our task was to learn a 15 minute piece for a The Muppet's: Christmas carol songs to perform at the globe for a Christmas concert. We started off with a couple of voice warmups to get us ready for the singing most of the warmups were based on rhythm and working on going high and low. We were then told what our first song was which was called 'Scrooge'. We had lyrics and the music in background to keep us on beat and remind us how its sung. Tom started off by playing the beginning tune on the piano then we were challenged to have more of a rough voice for the song because that's how its sung on the film because it shows how feared we are of scrooge. After learning a couple of the verses we got asked if there was a group of us wanting to go at the front and sing the first verse together. I got volunteered to go towards the front by my friend Will, which sort of pushed me o

Assignment 2: Task 6 - Performance Evaluation

Task 6   I feel like I have progressed a lot since my role in the ghost light tours. One of the major progresses being auditions since during the ghost light audition I was very nervous, shaking, stuttering and muddling up my lines the whole time, but for wizard of oz auditions I ended up doing two where I was a bit nervous at first when I was answering the questions about the Tinman but once I steadied into the process I managed to get through it with ease with just one problem being the stiffness. For the lion audition I was on script mainly because I got told to learn the role I wanted more, I knew the first couple of lines from the top of my head I just had to use the rest of the script for the change of emotion. Going into the show it was very nerve wracking because I now had a lot more lines from when I did the ghost light tours because that role was mainly me and Will blocking a piece together with one little rhyme, whereas for wizard of oz it was a full length role where I ha

Task 2 Going into the show I struggled a lot with the stiff like movement, I made the decision to stay back and practice with some classmates. I stayed back an hour and made a little bit of progress. Another main problem I had going into the show was my pronunciation heart.  On the very first show cast 3 were leading so I was an Ozian to begin with. My costume was green joggers with a green sports shirt that I had to wear inside out because it had a black logo on both sides, you weren't able to tell that I had it inside out because I also had a green apron over the top that held 3 green paintbrushes which me and Henry used to pretend we were painting the emerald city so it looked like we were immersed in the wizards lies and did everything he told us to do. There was a problem with the very first show with Ozians since the side I was on missed the queue to go on stage so we were out of beat and out of time with one another so it looked sloppy when we were inter crossing in the mi
