During the next couple of weeks, we did a lesson with Kane on body language and facial expressions where we had to watch 2 clips without sound to identify changes in the actors' facial expressions and body language and say what emotion it was, we thought they were portraying. After watching both clips we were then tasked to get into small groups no larger than 4 and come up with a piece where we were not allowed to speak and then prevent them to the 2nd years.  I worked with Taron, Will and Zia where we came up with the idea of an MMA match where I was fighting Zia. I first had to act cocky till when I was hit and my whole mood changed to confusion and anger.

Our first lesson in the theatre was on improv, we started off with some warm up activities to get everyone awake and then moved onto the task we were given, which was that everyone was given a slip of paper with a line on it. We had to enter the circle 1 by 1 when the time was right to try and fit our line in the running theme of what was happening and then after you said your line continue on with improv till someone tapped you out. After everyone got into groups of 3 to work on family scenarios where we were given 3 roles, perpetrator, victim and savior. I worked with Will and Callum where I played a 4-year-old called George, Callum was my 73-year-old Granddad Winston and Will was my 25-year-old dad James. The easiest perpetrator we found was when it was the Granddad and the easiest victim to act out was when it was the child.

To end off the week we had our first major project which is to perform a copycat scene. My group chose the film 'White Chicks' and the scene we chose is when they meet the friends. Here is the clip of the scene - White Chicks - Meeting their friends - YouTube. We have till the end of term to complete this project. My group consists of Jack, Ash, Kiera and Elliott.
